Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteering for Royal Manchester Children's Hospital is a fun and rewarding way to help us make a difference. Your time and talent is valuable in helping to support our fundraising work.

We're on the lookout for helpful and reliable volunteers to assist with a wide range of volunteer opportunities. Volunteers must be over 18-years-old, under 18s can attend most of our opportunities as long as they are accompanied by their parent/guardian.

All volunteers helping the charity must first register with us before carrying out any volunteering activity.  If you have not already done so, please register online at:  https://secure.rmchcharity.org.uk/volunteer-registration-form

Whether it is store collections, helping out at our events, or assisting in our charity office, there are many ways that you can get involved. Our current volunteer opportunities are listed below...

What time: 10:00am to 3.30pm

Where: Old Trafford

Help us create as much noise as possible on our open top cheering bus at the Great Manchester Run.  We need volunteers to help us motivate our runners along the 10k route and create the best atmosphere!  Refreshments and a charity t-shirt will be provided.

Star Wars Collection

When: Saturday 2nd June 2018

What time: 9:30am to 4:30pm

Where: The Trafford Centre

Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity will be at the Trafford Centre with the world renowned 99th Garrison – the UK’s premier Star Wars costume group.  The 99th Garrison will be at the Trafford Centre with a wide range of characters from the films causing great excitement with young and old shoppers.

We require volunteers to walk around the Trafford Centre with the 99th Garrison to collect donations from members of the public.   We also need a enthusiastic volunteer to become ‘Jedi Humphrey’ – this role requires the volunteer to wear our mascot costume.   It is really fun, exciting day and creates a real buzz in the Centre.  We have limited volunteer places available so please do get in touch if you are available.   Please note, due to the nature of the event, volunteers must be able to volunteer from 9.30am to 4.30pm.   There will be breaks during the day.
