Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteering for Royal Manchester Children's Hospital is a fun and rewarding way to help us make a difference. Your time and talent is valuable in helping to support our fundraising work.

We're on the lookout for helpful and reliable volunteers to assist with a wide range of volunteer opportunities.  Whether it is store collections, helping out at our events, or assisting in our charity office, there are many ways that you can get involved. Our current volunteer opportunities are listed below...

Manchester City Football Club Collections 

We're looking for volunteers to help us collect before two upcoming City matches

All volunteers will only need their best smile and loudest voice to encourage donations – collection kit will be provided at the Stadium! 

Thursday 27th April 2017

Manchester City vs Manchester United

How long? Volunteers will be required before the match from 5.45pm until just gone 8pm (kick-off)

Saturday 6th May 2017

Manchester City vs Crystal Palace

How long? Approximately two and half hours as we require volunteers before the match from 12.30pm until just gone 3pm (kick-off)

How do I get there? You'll be responsible for making your own way to and from the city stadium

Aldi Store Collections

Aldi has kindly offered for us to have pairs of volunteers to collect in the store from 9am to 7pm on a Saturday and from 11am to 4pm on a Sunday. Dates and times as follows:       

Princess Road, Ashton In Makerfield
4th & 5th March
18th & 19th March
8th & 9th April
22nd & 23rd April

Wellington Road, Ashton Under Lyne 
3rd & 4th June            
17th & 18th June            
1st & 2nd July            
15th & 16th July

Fold Lane, Breightmet    
5th & 6th August
26th & 27th August
9th & 10th  and 23rd & 24th September

How long? We don’t expect volunteers to be there all day but if you can commit to at least a 3-hour slot we'd be hugely grateful. Just let us know your preferred times when you get in touch!

Skills required? Please bring your best smile to encourage donations. You'll also need to be able to stand for a few hours at a time.

How do I get there? you'll be responsible for making their own way to and from their selected Aldi store.
