We work to make a difficult time a little bit easier for children and their families at the hospital.
Ocon Construction’s commercial director, Rob Bratt recently visited the children's hospital to hand over a cheque for £3,365 which he raised through the challenge of the three peaks.
Rob completed the Three Peaks Challenge, a gruelling marathon that saw the construction professional climb Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the Lake District and Snowdon in South Wales within just 24 hours. His blisters from the mammoth 10,000 ft climb have now healed, however, and, having collected in all the funds from his sponsors, he was delighted to hand over a cheque to help to make a difference to patients and their families.
Commented Rob: “There’s no doubt that the Three Peaks Challenge is hard going and both physically and mentally exhausting, but there’s also something very life affirming about it. I’m fortunate to be healthy enough to take on the challenge, which brings into focus the plight of many of the children here in the hospital. I’m delighted to be able to make this contribution.”
