The Department of Therapeutic and Specialised Play provides one of the largest and most comprehensive hospital play services in the UK and Europe.
Cameron and around 20 friends set a challenge to see how many sandcastles they could build in one hour.
On a cloudy and windy Saturday they hit the beach at Lytham St Anne's with buckets and spades ready for the clock to start ticking.
Despite the weather they managed to build over 3,700 castles and raised over £600 to help other poorly children at the hospital.
Cameron, who is a patient at the hospital, hopes that next year he can build even more sandcastles.
