Sunny Thinking Shines
Sale-based marketing consultancy Sunny Thinking has launched a children’s book to tell the story of its first two successful years in business and is donating all proceeds from the book to help raise funds for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity.
The 16-page colour children’s book uses bold statements and quirky hand-drawn animal illustrations to ask: ‘What is Sunny Thinking?’ and draws on aspects of childhood to answer the question, such as ‘having lots of fun being sporty’, ‘learning to play nicely after an argument’ and ‘walking to the local shop with your friends.’
Jonathan Reed, managing director at Sunny Thinking describes the idea behind the book:
“We recently celebrated our 2nd birthday and won a couple of prestigious international awards – so we felt it was time to tell more people about who we are and what we do.
As we’re a big bunch of kids at heart we decided to put together a children’s book to tell our story. We also really liked the idea of helping out a charity to give something back. So, we approached Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity about getting involved. I’ve got friends whose little boy was treated at the hospital and they did a fantastic job getting him back to health. Also, as a father of a two-year-old and another one on the way, the charity is very close to my heart.”
Each of the uplifting statements in the book mirrors an area of Sunny Thinking’s philosophy and expertise. ‘having a bouncy healthy day, everyday’ equates to the agency’s award winning work for the NHS; ‘having lots of fun and being sporty’ is connected to experience with leading sports brands including Nike and Sportswear International and ‘walking to the local shop with friends’ highlights the agency’s passion for working with local and regional businesses.
‘What is Sunny Thinking?’ is available from participating venues such as Hale Book Shop or Simply Books, Bredbury or via ordering from www.sunnythinking.com. Donations can also be made via www.justgiving.com/sunnythinking
