matched giving

Matched giving is a great way for businesses to share and encourage their employees’ support for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity.

With matched giving, businesses can match employees’ donations pound for pound, or agree to donate a percentage of the amount raised. That’s whether employees are payroll giving to the charity, making one-off donations or raising funds through events or other fundraising activities.

As an alternative, you could also offer the opportunity to staff to volunteer during company time and matching the time they have given with a monetary donation

Businesses have the flexibility to put a cap on how much is matched per employee, and, as with payroll giving, the funds that your business donates won’t be taxed.

As well as helping thousands of poorly children and their families across the North West, matched giving can boost staff morale, improve community links and generate positive public relations.
