Can you raise £1000 in 12 months?

You can do it – raising £1,000 over 12 months is achievable, broken down it equates to raising around £19.23 a week – see that’s no so bad.

Last year, the Many Hands Campaign saw many new and innovative ways of raising money from auctioning the world’s first jam painting to a Rossendale’s Got Talent competition. There are many ways to put the fun back into FUNdraising!

Here are our top five fundraising ideas to help you get those creative ideas flowing;

5 Office sweepstake – It’s not just the Grand National and sporting events that you can run a sweepstake you could organise one for who will win programs such as Strictly Come Dancing or X Factor.

4 Dress Down Day or Jeans Day – This type of fundraiser is always a hit in the workplace. It is a day to dress down and take a break from the dress code of your working environment. Company employees can “pay” an appointed staff member for this privilege.

3 Office Golf/Tennis/Rounders Event – Why not take a day off to celebrate the company’s success? Your company can organise a tournament or day of rounders for a fun and athletic fundraiser. Each player or team could pay a participation fee.

2 Office Olympics – We’ve all seen or heard about games to play in the office, but what about organising a mini office Olympics? You could charge colleagues to enter. You could race office chairs and shot putt rubbish into the bin.

1 Lock up the boss – Why not co-ordinate a ‘jail’ for your boss setting a ‘bail’ fee – give your boss a phone and watch them get to work to try and secure their freedom. Once they hit the target – set them free!
