India Motorcycle Challenge

Royal Manchester Children's Hospital Charity are looking for motorcycling enthusiasts to take on this once in a life time challenge!

Motorcycling over 1300km through India is no easy ride - this challenging journey will certainly test your skills as you turn and twist through the Himalayan foothills.  From the bustling sights and sounds of Delhi, to the laid back atmosphere of Dharamsala, the ride takes you across varied terrain, even off-road, and riders should be confident in their ability.

This ten day experience takes departs on the 12th October 2012, and riders are asked to pay a £399 registration fee and try and raise £2995 minimum sponsorship - this covers every single cost of the challenge, and 60% of the minimum sponsorship will come to the charity!

This unique and special event is a tough motorcycle challenge and is NOT suitable for beginners or the inexperienced. We advise that all riders have a minimum of 3 years SOLID motorcycling experience. You must have access to a motorcycle and be able to practice long day riding throughout the lead up to the challenge.

Included in the cost is -return flights from London to Delhi, accommodation – hotel and camping - all equipment will be provided when camping, meals – (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are included starting from when the group land on day 2 to breakfast on day 10, water stops and refreshments – when stopping as a group these will be paid for, but if participants stop off on their own accord then the cost is borne by the participant, transfers as stated in itinerary, local motorcycle guide to accompany group throughout challenge with motorcycle co-leader, motorbike hire charges, motorcycle insurance for bike only – NOT TRAVEL INSURANCE, fuel for motorcycles, support vehicles - one with mechanics and spares, the other to carry luggage, spare motorcycle in case of serious breakdown, on the spot repairs - e.g. punctures, brakes, lights.
