JCI Manchester
We are delighted to announce that JCI Manchester has selected Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital as their charity until January 2012.
JCI Manchester is a voluntary personal development organisation for young professionals and entrepreneurs. It is a local organisation that is part of a much larger dynamic global network called Junior Chamber International (JCI). JCI is a worldwide federation of young leaders and entrepreneurs with over 250,000 active members in over 100 countries.
JCI Manchesters main fundraising event will see 22 individuals complete the national three peaks challenge in 24 hours. They also have plenty of other events organised throughout the year to raise as much money as possible to really help us to make a difference to patients at the hospital.
Jennifer Smith, Charities Director of JCI Manchester, commented: “Like JCI Manchester, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity has ambitious plans. We wanted to give something back to the community and were really inspired by the work of the charity. The charity is focusing on raising money to ensure continued excellence in treatment, care and research at the hospital and after meeting with many local and national charities, we are now really looking forward to working with the charity and raising much needed funds throughout 2011.”
