Sainsbury’s HR Shared Service
We are delighted to announce that Sainsbury’s HR Shared Service have selected Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital as their Charity of the Year until November 2011.
Sainsbury’s colleagues have kicked off their fundraising year with two themed events – a Halloween fancy dress day and a pyjama party. As well as holding bi-monthly themed fundraising days, they also plan to take on some more adventurous activities such as the Great Manchester Run and Skydiving!
“Last year Sainsbury’s stores and their customers helped more than 750 charities and organisations across the UK through fundraising and volunteering and gave more than £1.3million of support to local communities.
I was delighted when the colleagues at Sainsbury’s HR Shared Service Centre in Arndale House chose the children’s hospital as our Charity of the Year for 2011.
This gives my team a great opportunity to give something back to our local community, raising money for a fantastic local cause, while hopefully having lots of fun, challenge and excitement along the way!”
