charitable trusts
Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity raises funds to ensure continued excellence in treatment, care and research – enhancing the lives of thousands of children each year. We support projects within Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital which are designed to help children and their families facing the most difficult circumstances.
- Treatment - the charity ensures that the Hospital has the most up-to-date equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of our patients, giving them access to world-class care.
- Care - visiting hospital and meeting doctors and nurses can be a daunting experience for a child. We work to create non-clinical spaces within the hospital, such as play areas and chill-out rooms. For families we provide accommodation and communal areas, enabling them to have somewhere that provides a comfortable atmosphere at a very stressful and difficult time.
- Research - medical research has played a critical role in developing the standard of healthcare that is so often taken for granted today, from antibiotics to the bionic eye. Our new hospital development means that we have medical treatment and research services on a single site. Our research projects aim to pioneer new ways to prevent, treat and cure complex life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
If you are involved with a charitable trust that supports efforts in these fields, please get in touch with us. Ours is the largest single-site children’s hospital in the UK and we have an enormous range of projects in the fields of treatment, care and research. We would be delighted to help you further your aims in our hospital.
